I’m Jared, aka Gatsby808, a professional DJ, Producer and Coffee Lover. I grew up in the 90’s, making countless Mixtapes and listening to Hip Hop legends like Tupac, Biggie, Nas, and Jay-Z. I was fascinated by the storytelling ability from the MC’s, the art of mixing & scratching from the DJ’s, and the sampling and beat making from Producers.  FINALLY in my 30's deciding to pursue my passion for music and DJing as a full-time career.

I started DJing at local venues and events, honing my skills and developing my own style. I love to create mixes of old school and new Hip Hop, with touches of other genres like Afro, Dancehall, Soul, and Funk. I also enjoy scratching, mixing and creating mashups to add my own flavor to each performance.  Now I perform at over 70 private events a year plus Corporate Events up and down the East Coast.

As an adult, I discovered another passion: Coffee. I was amazed by the variety and complexity of the beans, roasts, and brews. I learned everything I could about coffee and in 2023 decided to start my own business, combining my love for Hip Hop and coffee.

Now, I run The Hip Hop Coffee Shop, bringing you some of the best coffee available in the world & providing the perfect soundtrack to go with it.
